Safely Disposing Sharps

Sharps should be placed in a sharps disposal container immediately after they are used.

Sharps should never be placed in the trash, recycling, or green waste containers. Also, never flush them down the toilet or any drains.

Household Hazardous Waste Facilities are another option of getting rid of your sharps. Ask our pharmacist to help locate a facility for you.
